Here at Silver Street Flower Farm, sustainability and community are at the center of everything we do.
We consider the environmental impact of our growing practices, packaging, sourcing, and design mechanics. We’re not perfect, but we’re always trying to do better.
Connecting people to the natural world through flowers - especially in our urban setting - is one of the things that makes our work meaningful.

Using practices that improve soil health, we reduce the amount of fertilizer, soil amendments, and irrigation necessary to grow healthy plants.

We use minimal recyclable and compostable packaging. We create designs for weddings and events using modern mechanics to produce virtually no waste. We never use floral foam (it’s toxic, google it)

Sourcing flowers locally reduces the environmental impact. We use organic growing practices and our flowers don’t travel far to reach their destination. Buying from small farms that value their community ensures fair treatment of workers.
